Our 40th Fringe
Production Season's Greetings by Alan Ayckbourn Wednesday 11th - Saturday 21st August at 7.30 pm Murrayfield Parish Church Centre A
black, but hilarious, comedy about a dysfunctional family Christmas
hosted by Neville and his fussy wife Belinda, from whom he constantly
tries to escape to the garden shed. They have invited seven friends and
relatives: Bernard, a feeble doctor is obsessed with the puppet show he
puts on each year. His wife, Phyllis, is in an alcoholic haze most of
the time. Eddie is a failed entrepreneur with a nagging, pregnant wife
(Pattie). Belinda’s emotionally-confused sister, Rachel, has invited
Clive, a suave writer, whose wandering eye soon leads to trouble.
Harvey, a belligerent military type, completes the slide into mayhem. A
very funny exposure of human frailty with moments of high farce.
